Domestic Abuse support for men in Guildford

Supporting men who are experiencing domestic abuse in Guildford and Waverley

Domestic abuse can affect anyone, however, men will often face additional barriers to seeking support. While women are disproportionately affected, it is important to recognise that men can also be victims of domestic abuse and 1 in 6-7 men will be affected in their lifetime*. We must ensure that men know that help is available.

Reaching out for help is a sign of strength not weakness. If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse, support is available. At SWSDAS, we support anyone who has been impacted by domestic abuse. You are not alone, help and support is available. SWSDAS and our partner Surrey Domestic Abuse services offer confidential and non-judgmental support across the boroughs.

If you are a man seeking support and would feel more comfortable talking to another man, you have access to a male outreach worker through our membership of the Surrey Domestic Abuse Partnership. This is a confidential service provided by YourSanctuary. Additionally, visit: www.surreyagainstda.info or Call the Surrey Domestic Abuse Helpline (provided by Your Sanctuary) 01483 776 822 (9am – 9pm, Monday – Friday), for further support.

Alternatively, you may wish to call a national helpline dedicated to supporting men affected by domestic abuse:
